Go Green Lunch Activity Day

Green Cuisine recently ran an exciting competition with The Enquire Learning Trust in which one of their academies had the opportunity to win a 'Go Green Lunch' Activity Day for their school.

Pupils were asked to create a mural depicting what food sustainability and healthy eating means to them.

The well-deserved winners were Oakdene Primary School in Billingham, Stockton on Tees.

Last week they welcomed the Go Green Lunch team for the event, hosted by Scarlett Archer, Presenter/Reporter for SKY News’ FYI show. It included a professional chef workshop with consultant chef, Andy Daniels plus lots of fun, food-related activities.

Children participated in the ‘Chicken Dipper Challenge’ in which they did a blindfold taste test of plant-based chicken-free dippers versus real chicken dippers. They also made their own chicken-free strip tacos and fish-less finger wraps packed with tasty, fresh vegetables. 🌱🍅

The Go Green Lunch activity day was designed to educate children as to where their food comes from and on the importance of vegetables and plant-based eating – both for their health and for the environment.

Green Cuisine bring happy, healthy eating to KS1 and KS2 school lunch menus across 31 Enquire Learning Trust schools on their Meatless Mondays and throughout the week.
